Pasta with Meatballs

The recipe for spaghetti with meatballs is inspired by the delicious dish from Lady and the Tramp. The creamy tomato cream sauce achieves a delightful thick consistency and pairs perfectly with meatballs and spaghetti.

Pasta with Meatballs

Ingredients

  • Meatballs
  • 500 g ground beef or pork
  • 140 g tomato paste
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 1 egg
  • 100 ml breadcrumbs
  • 100 g grated Parmesan
  • 1 tsp coarse salt
  • Pepper
  • Tomato Cream Sauce
  • 1 onion
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1 tbsp dried basil
  • 2 cans chopped tomatoes
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 100 ml cream

Instructions

  1. Meatballs
  2. Mix the meat with all the ingredients and shape into small meatballs.
  3. Place them on a baking sheet with parchment paper and bake for 20 minutes at 200°C (fan oven).
  4. Tomato Cream Sauce
  5. Sauté onion, garlic, and basil in a pot.
  6. Add chopped tomatoes and sugar, and let it simmer for about 10 minutes.
  7. Now add cream and season with salt and pepper.
  8. Let it simmer for another 10 minutes and finally blend the sauce.
