Pasta with Mascarpone and Meatballs

A delicious Italian-inspired pasta with a rich sauce of tomato, mascarpone, and delightful Grana Padano, tossed with small meatballs.

Ingredients

  • 400 g minced veal and pork
  • 1 egg
  • 1 onion
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste
  • 3 tbsp breadcrumbs
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp dried chili
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • Sauce
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 onions
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 2 cans chopped tomatoes
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste
  • 50 g grated Grana Padano
  • 100 g mascarpone
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • Freshly ground pepper
  • 400 g spaghetti

Instructions

  1. Meatballs
  2. Mix the meat with all ingredients and refrigerate
  3. Form small meatballs and fry them in a pan
  4. Sauce
  5. Chop onions and garlic, and sauté them in a sauté pan
  6. Add chopped tomatoes and tomato paste and let simmer for 5 - 10 minutes
  7. Add the remaining ingredients, stir, and let simmer for 10 minutes until you have a creamy sauce
  8. Cook the pasta al dente and then mix with the sauce and meatballs
  9. Serve with freshly grated Grana Padano and basil
