Blackberry Jam

A sweet and slightly tart jam filled with the flavor of late summer's juicy blackberries. Perfect on freshly baked bread, pancakes, or as a sweet accompaniment to a cheese board.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 kg fresh blackberries
  • 100 ml water
  • 750 g sugar
  • 4 tsp pectin

Instructions

  1. Bring the blackberries to a boil with water until the berries lighten
  2. Stir in 700 g of sugar and let it boil for 5 - 10 minutes
  3. Mix the remaining sugar with pectin and stir into the jam
  4. Bring it to a brief boil for 5 minutes
  5. Immediately pour the hot jam into sterilized jars
