Asian Meatballs with Noodles

Asian meatballs have a unique intense flavor with the sweet and spicy glaze, served with delicious noodles and vegetables.

Asian Meatballs with Noodles

Ingredients

  • Meat Mixture
  • 500 g ground chicken
  • ½ bunch spring onions
  • 1 egg
  • 100 ml breadcrumbs
  • 6 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1½ piece ginger
  • 5 cloves garlic
  • # Glaze
  • ½ piece ginger
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 4 tbsp honey
  • 1 lime
  • Accompaniments
  • 400 g rice noodles
  • 200 g broccoli
  • 100 g mushrooms
  • Spring onions
  • Sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Meat Mixture
  2. Grate the ginger and finely chop the spring onions
  3. Mix the spring onions, soy sauce, egg, ginger, and breadcrumbs with the ground chicken
  4. Stir or knead the mixture thoroughly until it becomes a firm meat mixture, and let it rest for about 30 minutes
  5. Glaze
  6. Grate the ginger and chop the garlic
  7. Sauté the ginger and garlic together
  8. Add soy sauce and lime juice
  9. Add honey and let it melt
  10. Let the glaze simmer for about 10 minutes until it reaches a thick syrup consistency
  11. Sauté broccoli, mushrooms, and spring onions in a pan until they soften slightly in a bit of oil
  12. Remove the vegetables from the pan and set aside
  13. Fry the meatballs in the pan with oil
  14. When the meatballs are done, pour the glaze onto the hot pan
  15. Let it simmer for 1-2 minutes until it coats all the meatballs like a syrup
  16. Cook the noodles and mix them with the vegetables
  17. Sprinkle the meatballs with sesame seeds and optionally some finely chopped spring onions and serve
